Dr. Michael Counts (center) works with Jeremy Turner (left) and Josh Barnes in choreographing a scene in "The Rivals."

The Harlequin Theatre’s 75th anniversary production of “The Rivals” opens Thursday, Oct. 12, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 15. All performances are at 8 p.m. in Holloway Theatre.

All faculty, staff, and students are admitted free. Tickets for adults are $5 and $3 for students and seniors. Call 793-1749 for reservations. Reservations will be held until 15 minutes before curtain.

There will also be an exhibit of Harlequin Theatre memorabilia in the lobby of Holloway Theatre and in the Kresge Gallery in the Alphin Building.

The Harlequin Theatre, organized in 1925, is the oldest collegiate theatre organization in Arkansas. “The Rivals,” written by Irish playwright Richard Brinsley Sheridan in 1775, was produced during the theatre’s first year.
