Charity bike ride to benefit Arkansas Children's Hospital

Lyon College biology professors Dr. Tim Lindblom and Dr. Mark Schram, along with Shajjan Rajbanshi, vice president of the International Student Association, will bicycle from Batesville to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock on Saturday, November 23, in an effort to raise $10,000 to benefit the hospital. All interested cyclists are invited to join the trio.

The three cyclists are soliciting donations from Lyon College students, faculty and staff, and from businesses and individuals in the community. For additional information including details of the bike ride, how you can make a donation, or how you can ride along, contact Joni Bube at 698-1782 or email jbube@lyon.edu.

Arkansas Children’s Hospital is the state’s only pediatric medical facility and one of the 10 largest children’s hospitals in the country. Last year, more than 250,000 admissions and patient visits were recorded from all 75 Arkansas counties and from around the nation and world, including 1,560 from Independence County.
