Nichols International Studies Courses: Study Tour of Japan 2006
Five students of Lyon College visited Japan from May 15 to May 29, 2006 after a semester long of introduction to Japanese history, culture, and business. They had an opportunity to use and develop their language skills in real life situation. They traveled from Shimonoseki, Iwakuni, Hiroshima, Miyajima, Kyoto, Nara, Akita, Nikko and finally to Tokyo and visited museums, theatres, historical sights and other places of cultural and historical interest in Japan. They expanded cross-cultural understanding through exchanging opinions with many students of two universities. They also learned how Japanese people do business.
