I know you're chomping at the bit to hear about what we did in December, but the answer is...... not much.  We were mostly idle for the whole month.  There were a couple of school functions.  John Coates and I played at a nice Christmas party hosted by the Hoovers in Little Rock.  It was MUCH warmer out than when we did the same at the Lyon's home in 2005.  Jimmy took a group over to Jonesboro and played the halftime of the Lyon/ASU basketball game.  And that's really about it.  A well-earned break in the action if you ask me.

We regret to report that The Remarkable Mr. Dean has graduated and returned to his home in Boise.  T-bone is a unique, and valuable individual whose presence will be sorely missed in the band.  He was always a reliable go to guy, and his ghillies will be difficult to fill.  We wish him tremendous success in all future endeavors, and look forward to seeing him on down the road.

Things are about to heat back up.  There is a Burns Night Supper being held on campus for the first time in a long time, and we will be hosting a solo competition sponsored by The Arkansas Piobaireachd Society.  Other competitions and travel are just over the horizon.

Fair skies and following winds until we check in for January.

For the band -

Kenton
